

Summer is the best time of year for easy entertaining. I want to have more casual dinners out back with meals that revolve around the grill--no fuss. So this weekend, when I offered to bring a side dish to a friend's dinner party, I started living by my new 'it doesn't have to be complicated' motto. Instead of spending the day cooking, I bought zucchini and corn at the farmers market and did my prep and cooking at the party. Or rather, James did the prep and I manned the grill. Fresh vegetables with a little olive oil, salt and pepper on the grill. So easy and more delicious than any casserole. Plus, it allowed for more time at the pool...
